About

Rotary Ride: Pedaling Against Polio is presented by Blue Springs Rotary, the Rotary Club of Lee’s Summit and the Rotary Club of Raytown. All proceeds from the event will be split equally among the three clubs’ non-profit foundations and Rotary International’s Polio Plus campaign to rid the world of polio. Since 1985 Polio Plus has immunized millions of people against polio and worldwide less than 1,000 cases of polio have been reported in only 4 countries.

For more on Polio Plus or Rotary International, visit www.Rotary.org and click on the “EndPolioNow” box at the bottom of the home page.

The ride is an out-and-back route with a maximum distance of 50 miles through the rolling hills of Eastern Jackson County, MO. The ride will begin at Blue Springs’ Rotary Park (7 Highway & Vesper, 1/2 mile south of I-70 on 7 Highway) at 8:30am on April 22, 2012. The route rolls through Lee’s Summit and Raytown, with final turnaround at Raytown’s Colman park (59th St & Lake).  The ride will be followed by a BBQ lunch and fun activities for the whole family.

Serious cyclists, families, occasional riders - all will have a good time on this ride!
